3. Track

Log into your affiliate dashboard any time to see clicks, conversions, and pending commission. Attribution is handled automatically — last click within the 60-day window wins.

4. Get paid

Monthly payout on the 15th, once you've cleared $50 in approved earnings. PayPal or Wise.

Who we’re approving

Our program is focused. Applications that match one of these profiles usually get approved:

  • YouTubers — Reviewing writing tools, covering novel craft, or interviewing published authors.
  • Podcasters — Hosting shows about writing, publishing, or the business of being an author.
  • Newsletter and Substack writers — Audiences of authors, self-publishers, or aspiring novelists.
  • Indie authors — Engaged blog, social following, or email list — already recommending tools to fellow writers.

Who we’re not approving

To keep the program high-signal, we decline applications from:

  • Generic deal or coupon aggregator sites
  • Cashback and rewards networks
  • Audiences without a specific author or writer focus
  • Anyone whose primary plan is bidding on our brand terms in paid search (this is prohibited in the terms and we enforce it)

Common questions

How long does approval take?

Up to 5 business days, usually faster. If you haven't heard back in a week, email [email protected].

Do I need to be a Bookshaper customer to apply?

No. We give you a free lifetime license on approval so you can try the product honestly before deciding whether to promote it.

When do I get paid?

Monthly, on the 15th, for the prior month's approved earnings. There's a 30-day hold on each commission to cover our refund window — so a conversion on April 10 is approved May 10 and paid June 15.

What happens if Bookshaper changes the commission rate?

You're grandfathered. Any referrals you've already made keep paying commission at the rate in effect when they subscribed. If we improve the terms, you're automatically moved up.

Can I sign up for Bookshaper through my own link?

No — self-referrals aren't commissionable. The system catches these and reverses them automatically.
